People in Iran and different parts of the world are expressing grief over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Meanwhile, his last video message is reportedly going viral on social media.
In this video message, he is expressing the possibility that America and Israel may kill him. Apart from this, he also seems to be saying that his death will not change anything.
According to his official website, Khamenei was last seen in public on February 17. During this, he gave a message of solidarity to Iran against America’s aggression.
In an emotional speech on June 19, Khamenei said, “My body has no value, my life has no value. Even if they kill me, do not consider it our loss, as long as you stick to the principles of Imam Hussein.”
Addressing a gathering in East Azerbaijan province on the anniversary of the 1978 Tabriz rebellion, Khamenei criticized the US and said that “Trump’s empire is heading towards its end.” He had said that more than half of the American population does not like Trump. Khamenei said, “I will also say a few words about America. It is a system that is really coming to an end. It is an empire that is moving towards ending.”
He added, “As far as the US empire is falling apart, it really is falling apart; there are problems with their economy, there are problems with their policies, and there are problems with their society. More than 50 percent of the American population does not like their current president.”
Khamenei said, “We must have deterrent weapons, if a country does not have deterrent weapons, it will be crushed under the feet of its enemies. The US is interfering in this matter without any reason. You can have such and such missiles. You can have so much range and nothing more. What does this have to do with you? This is related to the Iranian country.”
