Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a new threat to Iran on Thursday. This threat comes after reports that the US military may attack the Middle East country as early as this weekend.

Netanyahu said radicals in Iran are refusing to “give up,” so Israel is ready to defend itself along with its ally, the United States.

“The radicals are refusing to accept defeat. They are regrouping to challenge us again. We are not satisfied with our success. We are ready and alert to defend ourselves against every challenge. We are working closely with our great ally, the United States,” Netanyahu said.

He further said, “I have made clear to my friend President Trump the principles that Israel believes should guide any negotiations with Iran. We are prepared for every situation, and one thing is for sure, if the Ayatollahs make a mistake and attack us, they will get a response that they cannot even imagine.”

‘Bad things can happen’: Trump

Meanwhile, Donald Trump also warned Iran while speaking at the first meeting of the Board of Peace in Washington DC. He stressed that Middle East countries must agree to a nuclear deal or “bad things will happen.”

Persuading Tehran to follow a “peaceful path” with the US, Trump said, “We have to make a good deal with Iran…Good negotiations are taking place. The last few years have proven that it is not easy to make a good deal with Iran. We have to make a good deal, otherwise bad things will happen.”
