In this regard, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said that in this meeting, more than 20 member countries will officially announce financial assistance of more than $ 5 billion for the Gaza Strip. Along with this, many issues including ceasefire in Gaza and reconstruction of the devastated area will be discussed in the meeting. India will not attend this meeting.

Donald Trump will host a meeting of the Peace Board at the Institute of Peace in Washington at 3 pm (US time). On the Reconstruction Fund for the Gaza Strip, White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt said, “The Peace Board will decide how the funding (for Gaza) will be done. Then the technocratic layer below, which includes the member states, will also be involved in making decisions. The peace board member countries have pledged to provide five billion dollars for humanitarian and reconstruction work in Gaza, which will be announced. “

When Caroline Levitt was asked by reporters about the board’s process for making financial decisions, Levitt said that decisions would be made by the Peace Board, which is chaired by the President. All the members will vote on funding and after this work will be done at the technical level under the board.
Levitt further said, “We are talking about the reconstruction of Gaza. This is a historic step and under the leadership of President Trump, this board can prove to be the most important international body for world peace.” Representatives of more than 20 countries, including heads of some countries, will participate in the meeting. The board is part of the Trump administration’s Gaza peace plan, which was approved by the UN Security Council.
