Emmanuel Macron visit India: The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has announced that French President Emmanuel Macron is visiting India from 17 to 19 February 2026. This visit is taking place on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is considered important towards further deepening the strong strategic partnership between India and France.
During the visit of President Emmanuel Macron, the leaders of the two countries will have wide-ranging discussions, including strengthening cooperation in different areas under the Horizon 2047 roadmap. This roadmap will give a new direction to the relations between the two countries till the centenary of India’s independence.
There will be discussion on global issues
Apart from this, both the leaders will have detailed talks on defence, security, space, technology, civil nuclear energy, cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region and regional and global issues. Emphasis will be laid on further strengthening India-France partnership.
The visit reflects the growing trust and cooperation between the two countries, especially in the context of emerging technologies such as AI, defense deals and strategic partnerships in the Indo-Pacific. A number of important agreements and announcements are expected during the visit, which will lay the foundation for future cooperation.
