President Nicolas Maduro did not confirm this. But now the President has indicated that despite military pressure, Venezuela is ready to negotiate with America.

Venezuela ready for talks with America
Nicolas Maduro, president of the South American country of Venezuela, said in a pre-recorded interview broadcast on state television on Thursday that he is ready to negotiate a deal with the United States to fight drug trafficking, but he declined to comment on last week’s CIA-led attack on a Venezuelan docking area that the Trump administration believed was used by cartels.

Maduro has yet to confirm a US ground attack on a docking facility in his country that reportedly targeted drug boats, following comments made by US President Donald Trump on Monday. When asked directly whether he confirmed or denied the attack, Maduro said, “It could be something we will talk about in a few days.”

In an interview with Spanish journalist Ignacio Ramonet, Maduro reiterated that the US wants to change the government in Venezuela and gain access to its vast oil reserves through a months-long pressure campaign that began with a massive military deployment to the Caribbean Sea in August.
