According to media reports, while speaking to media persons on Air Force One, the US President said, “I said that if you hang those people (protesters), you will get the most severe beating ever. It will make what we did against Iran’s nuclear program look like peanuts.”
Trump added, “I don’t want anything to happen, but we are keeping a very close eye on them. We have a huge fleet going in that direction and we probably won’t have to use it. We’ll see what happens.”

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, writing in the Wall Street Journal newspaper, has said that America will ‘respond with full force’. “If we are attacked again, our powerful armed forces will not hesitate to retaliate with everything at their disposal,” he said.
Arghachi said his warning was not a threat, but a reality that I feel the need to express clearly, because as a diplomat and a seasoned soldier, I abhor war. A full-scale confrontation would certainly be dire. “This will last much longer than the imaginary timelines being sold to the White House by Israel and its supporters.”
He further said, “It will definitely cover a wide area and will have an impact on ordinary people around the world.”
