After the continuous attacks on minorities in Bangladesh, the interim government of Mohammad Yunus is constantly under the scanner. The cycle of violence against Hindus in the country is not showing any signs of stopping. But instead of accepting the reality and taking initiative to maintain peace in the country, the interim government there is cooking khichdi with Pakistan. Mohammad Yunus has met Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider. Now this meeting is being discussed everywhere.

Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Professor Mohammad Yunus, on Sunday paid a courtesy call on Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider at the State Guest House, Jamuna. According to the information received, in this meeting there was a detailed discussion on increasing trade, investment, aviation sector and cultural-educational-medical exchanges between the two countries, due to which an important step was taken towards further strengthening bilateral relations.

Sharing the pictures of the meeting, Mohammad Yunus wrote in his During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance their cooperation in every field.

Speaking at the meeting, the Pakistani High Commissioner said that bilateral trade has increased by 20 percent compared to last year, and the business communities of both the countries are actively exploring new investment opportunities. He also stressed the significant increase in cultural exchanges, and said Bangladeshi students have shown keen interest in higher education opportunities in Pakistan, especially in medical sciences, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence.

Haider further said that Pakistan has seen an increase in the number of patients coming to its major hospitals for liver and kidney transplant, and added that Pakistan is ready to provide training and educational opportunities in transplant-related medical fields.

Increased closeness between Pakistan and Bangladesh

Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus welcomed the growing interaction between the two countries and stressed the importance of visits as well as cultural, educational and people-to-people exchanges between SAARC member countries. Professor Yunus also stressed the need to further promote Bangladesh-Pakistan trade and expressed hope that during Haider’s tenure, both countries will explore new avenues for investment and joint venture businesses.

At the same time, the High Commissioner of Pakistan said that direct flights between Dhaka-Karachi are expected to start in January. SDG Coordinator and Senior Secretary Lamia Morshed was also present in the meeting.
