The US President described Maduro as a dictator and said that America wants peace in Venezuela. Trump claimed that no one died in this military action and not a single American soldier was killed. He said that the purpose of the operation is not violence, but to restore stability and peace in Venezuela. He said a spectacular attack was carried out using air, land and sea. Trump will give harshest punishment to Maduro
“This was one of the most stunning, effective and powerful displays of American military power and capability in American history,” Trump told reporters while sharing details of Maduro’s arrest. Trump further said that we want peace, freedom and justice for the great people of Venezuela, and this also includes those Venezuelans who now live in the United States and want to return to their country. This is their motherland.
President Trump further said that we cannot take the risk that someone else will take over Venezuela, who does not have the welfare of the Venezuelan people in mind. We have seen this for decades. We will not let this happen. Trump said the US military attacked ‘a highly fortified military fort’ in the center of Caracas to bring Maduro to justice. He compared it to previous military operations against Iran, which also included nuclear targets.
He said that no country in the world can achieve what America achieved yesterday. Trump claimed that all of Venezuela’s military capabilities were ‘neutralized’ in this attack. He further said that due to the ‘special expertise’ of the US, the lights of Caracas were extinguished during the operation. Trump said both Maduro and his wife would now face US justice, adding that they had been prosecuted in the Southern District of New York for waging a “deadly narco-terrorism campaign” against the US and its citizens. Trump said that Maduro will be given the harshest punishment for this heinous crime.
‘If necessary, there will be a second and bigger attack on Venezuela…’ Trump said
US President Trump, while addressing the media, said that America is fully prepared to launch a second and much larger military attack on Venezuela if needed. Trump clarified that the US administration was already planning a second one and had initially assumed that doing so would be necessary. However, he said that given the success of the attack, this may not be necessary now.
According to Trump, US forces effectively achieved their stated objectives, causing serious damage to Venezuela’s military capability. He also indicated that America’s strategy is fully prepared and immediate action can be taken if the situation worsens. The President stressed that the US is prepared to deal with any situation and if any new threat emerges from Venezuela, the response could be harsher than before.
American oil companies will enter Venezuela, billions of dollars will be invested – Trump
US President Trump has said that American oil companies will soon enter Venezuela and repair the badly broken oil infrastructure there. While talking to the media, Trump said that Venezuela’s oil business has come to a complete standstill for a long time and the country was producing much less than its actual capacity.
He claimed that US oil companies, the world’s largest, would invest billions of dollars, repair aging infrastructure and increase production to generate profits for the country. According to Trump, this step will not only revive Venezuela’s oil sector.
