The Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor in May after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025. 26 innocent tourists lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack. India held Pakistan-backed terrorist organizations responsible for the attack and had carried out precision strikes on 9 terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on the night of 6-7 May.
At the time of Operation Sindoor, the Pak Army was trembling. A big confession has come from Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari. Recently a statement of President Zardari has come out, in which he mentioned the military conflict of May 2025. In a public meeting, Zardari told that during the Indian action, the Pakistani Army had advised him to hide in the bunker. He said that leaders do not die in bunkers and Pakistan had given a befitting reply to India.
Pakistan was in panic due to Operation Sindoor
This statement of the Pakistan President is a confession of how the Indian Army had created terror in Pakistan through Operation Sindoor. During Operation Sindoor, India targeted terrorist camps, which dealt a blow to Pakistan on both military and psychological levels. Later, on the request of Pakistan, there was a ceasefire between the countries, but its effect is still visible today. Operation Sindoor had strengthened India’s zero tolerance policy against terrorism. Discussions are still going on in Pakistan regarding this incident, while India called it a decisive action against terrorism.
Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday openly admitted that the Army had advised him to take shelter in a bunker during the military confrontation with India in May following Operation Sindoor. In response to this he said that if martyrdom was certain to happen then it would have happened there and also said that leaders do not die in bunkers.
Soon after the military confrontation with Pakistan ended, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had issued a stern warning to Pakistan, saying, “Live a happy and peaceful life, eat bread, otherwise my bullet is there.” Responding to this, Zardari said, “We ourselves are ready for the battlefield, we are ready to sacrifice our lives. So forget this, there will be bread, there will be bullets, what bullets will you shoot, we will shoot bullets.”
To avenge the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, India launched Operation Sindoor on nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on the intervening night of May 6 and 7. However, tensions between the two countries increased after Pakistan’s failed attempt to target civilian and military targets in India. In response, India launched strikes targeting Pakistani air bases.
On 10 May, the two countries agreed to a ceasefire after the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan agreed to stop all firing and military action on land, air and sea. DGMO of Pakistan called DGMO of India and initiated ceasefire. Pakistani air bases including Noor Khan and Rahim Yar Khan were heavily damaged by precision strikes by the Indian Army.
