A Hindu youth named Dipu Das was beaten to death by the mob. Not only this, all limits of cruelty with his dead body were also crossed. After all-round criticism, now the interim government has taken action in this matter.

Action has been taken in the brutal murder of a Hindu youth in Mymensingh district of Bangladesh. Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Muhammad Yunus has given this information through a social media post. The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) of the interim government has arrested seven suspects in this heinous incident.

These seven accused were arrested

Mohammad Yunus tweeted, “In the case of lynching of Dipu Chandra Das (27), a youth following Sanatan Dharma, in Waluka, Mymensingh, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested seven people as suspects. The arrested people are – Mohammad Limon Sarkar (19), Mohammad Tariq Hussain, Mohammad Manik Mian (20), Irshad Ali (39), Nijum Uddin. (20), Alamgir Hussain (38), and Mohammad Miraj Hussain Akan (46). RAB-14 conducted operations at different locations and arrested the above mentioned suspects.”

The incident took place in Dubaliya Para area of ​​Square Master Bari, Bhaluka. Dipu Chandra Das worked in a textile factory and lived on rent. According to the police, around 9 pm on Thursday night, an angry mob surrounded him and beat him to death on the charge of making derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad. Later the body was hung from a tree and set on fire.

Mohammad Yunus gave a strict warning to the accused and said that this incident is not only a crime against humanity but also an attempt to harm social harmony. He assured that strict action will be taken against the culprits under the law and justice will be provided to the victim’s family.
