Donald Trump had said a few days ago that he can also use force to take Greenland.
It is dangerous to play with Greenland’s sovereignty: France
On one hand, US President Donald Trump is talking about occupying Greenland, while on the other hand, many European countries have become vocal against him. In particular, France has come out most openly against it. After the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, French President Emmanuel Macron said in strong words, ‘If the sovereignty of any European and allied country is affected, the consequences could be dangerous. Expressing solidarity with Greenland, Macron is monitoring the situation.
EU is considering canceling trade deal
In protest against Trump’s threats regarding Greenland, members of the European Parliament are seriously considering a trade deal with America. According to the report, if America does not give up its insistence on Greenland, then a group of lawmakers want to ban the law to reduce import duty on American goods. However, it is also claimed that if the European Parliament goes against America, Trump can impose more tariffs on European products.

Greenland is a storehouse of rare minerals and resources.
There are huge reserves in Greenland. According to the report, Greenland is full of many rare minerals like uranium, lithium and cobalt, graphite, which America wants to take possession of. These minerals are considered essential for future technologies like defense technology and electric vehicles (EV).
