US-Iran Tensions: Tension continues between America and Iran. US President Donald Trump again gave a big statement on the deal with Tehran. He expressed hope that Iran will make a deal with Washington. This statement of Trump comes after the warning of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in which he said that if America attacks Iran, it will affect the entire Middle East.
President Trump reacted to Khamenei’s statement. Speaking to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, he said that America has undoubtedly deployed troops near Iran, but we are still trying to find a solution through diplomacy.
There is full hope that a deal will be done – Trump
He said, “We have the largest and most powerful ships in the world, which are very close to Iran. If we do not get a deal, then we will have to find out where there is a gap. They do not want to make a deal, but I am very hopeful that a deal will be made. If it does not happen, then let’s see what we can do? He also said that if the deal is not made, then we will know whether he was right or not.
Earlier, reacting to Trump’s threats, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had written that the Americans should know that if they start a war, this time it will be a regional war. Americans sometimes talk about war – they say we will come with warships and planes… this is nothing new. Such things have no effect on the Iranian nation. They should not try to scare Iran with such things.
He further said that we are not going to start a war. We do not want to oppress anyone. We do not want to attack any country. But, anyone who tries to attack or cause harm will get a befitting reply from Iran.
‘America wants to take over Iran’
Khamenei said what is the issue between America and Iran? It can be summed up in two words: The United States wants to take over Iran and the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic prevent it. Iran has many attractive things: its oil, gas, abundant minerals and geographical location are attractive. America wants to regain control over this country, as it did earlier.
He further wrote that Americans were present in Iran for more than 30 years. Iran’s resources, oil, politics and security were all in his hands. Everything was under his control. Now that their grip has weakened, they are looking for a way back. The Iranian community is standing strong and stopping them from doing so. Iran stands strong, will continue to stand, and – Allah willing – will put an end to America’s mischief and oppression.
