The mystery regarding the security of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali is increasing. His house was attacked in US-Israeli strikes on Saturday.
Now a satellite image has surfaced, in which Khamenei’s secure compound has been badly damaged. Meanwhile, Iranian officials said they had evacuated Khamenei to a safe place before the attack.
The pictures show devastation in the Iran supremo’s compound, but it is not clear whether he was there at that time or not. American media reported that his whereabouts are still unknown. The US and Israel attacked Ali Khamenei and Iranian President Massoud Pejeshkian on Saturday, an Israeli official told Reuters, but the results of the attacks were not clear.
“My brothers and sisters, citizens of Israel, just an hour ago, Israel and the United States launched an operation to remove the threat posed by the terrorist regime in Iran,” the statement said. Netanyahu thanked US President Trump for American support and described Trump’s leadership as “historic”.
“I thank my great friend, President Donald Trump, for his historic leadership. For 47 years, the Ayatollah’s government has been shouting ‘death to Israel’ and ‘death to America,'” Netanyahu said. He said, “It has shed our blood, killed many Americans, and massacred its own people. This bloody terrorist regime must not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons, making it a threat to all humanity. Our combined action will create the conditions for the brave Iranian people to take their destiny into their own hands.”
